The OML 17 Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT) invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveyor. Drivers

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State

QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, budgets, and contracts.
-Conduct feasibility studies, cost control, and financial reporting.
-Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure value for money and timely delivery.
-Evaluate and certify contractors’ claims and variations.
-Ensure compliance with HCDT’s project and procurement standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
-Master’s Degree (MSc) and relevant professional certifications/memberships (e.g., NIQS, RICS, QSRBN) will be an added advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the construction or oil and gas industry.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
Proficiency in relevant industry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
CIVIL ENGINEER:
Core responsibilities
Project planning and management: Develop project plans, manage budgets and timelines, and oversee all phases of the project from start to finish.
Design and analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and use engineering software to create project designs and blueprints.
Construction oversight: Supervise and direct construction activities, conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality, and manage the execution of work against the project’s BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
Collaboration and communication: Work with architects, contractors, and other engineers. You will also liaise with clients and other stakeholders to manage relationships and report on project progress.
Compliance and safety: Ensure that all projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and comply with all relevant government rules and regulations.
Risk management and problem-solving: Identify potential risks, assess materials and costs, and provide creative solutions to problems that arise during the project.
Financial management: Visit sites to value work done, process payments, and manage the project budget, including purchasing necessary equipment and materials. A minimum of 5yrs relevant experience in the construction or oil and gas industry is needed
DRIVERS:
Must be licensed to drive, have clean criminal/security records, a minimum of 7yrs driving experience.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates from within the OML 17 Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT) area.
